How we get you awarded
Three phases, one analyst who knows your business, and as little disruption to your day as we can manage.
Getting a MAS contract involves many steps, several of which run at the same time. We have helped more than a thousand firms through it, and the process below is what we have refined along the way. With documents ready, the typical path from kickoff to award is about six months.
Phase 1: Strategy and proposal preparation
Strategy. We hold a kickoff call, confirm your goals and deadlines, review your offerings against the schedule, and determine the right solicitation and SINs.
Preparation. Your analyst then builds the package with you:
- Guide you through SAM.gov registration or updates
- Coach your references on how the past-performance request works
- Draft corporate experience, quality control, and technical narratives
- For services, shape and format your labor categories to GSA's requirements
- Review your commercial sales practices disclosure and non-standard discounts
- Develop pricing and positioning strategy and write the pricing narrative
- Run a full content review so nothing the solicitation asks for is missing
Phase 2: Submission, review, and negotiation
- Deliver the finished proposal and walk you through it before anything is signed
- Review the relevant Federal Acquisition Regulation clauses and the basis of award with you
- Submit through eOffer, then proactively track status and seek assignment of a contracting officer
- Prepare written answers to GSA's clarification requests for your approval
- Negotiate pricing with the contracting officer, and prepare the Final Proposal Revision for your signature
Phase 3: Award and post-award briefing
- Follow up until the contract is awarded
- Coordinate the post-award documents with GSA
- Brief you on your agreed terms and obligations: the Industrial Funding Fee, sales requirements, GSA Advantage! maintenance, modification procedures, and required registrations
- Give you your award documents and price list, plus a marketing guide with practical ideas for reaching federal buyers
GSA Advantage! after award
Product companies also need a compliant catalog uploaded. We convert your data to GSA's required format, screen every line item for non-compliant codes, upload the file, and fix and resubmit anything GSA rejects. We repeat this for every modification GSA accepts.
Why it matters: a strong pricing narrative and a clean first submission are the two biggest levers on timeline and profitability. Both come from experience with how contracting officers actually evaluate offers.
